We've always been a fan of wooden rings and have found their uniqueness and character to be a striking display of craftsmanship. We knew that selling quality rings that fit with the style of our brand would be a top priority when it comes to our product offering. Fortunately, we've been able to put together a collection of rings that exemplify several of the things that we absolutely love, such as history and the outdoors!
Our newest addition to the wood ring collection is the Colorado Elk Antler With USS Teak Wood And Double Rose Gold Inlay Wooden Ring. This ring brings together a wealth of history, craftsmanship, and a piece of the outdoors. Here's some of the key highlights:
COLORADO BULL ELK
This elk antler is sourced from natural sheds of Colorado Bull Elk.
Just like wood, each antler has unique characteristics that make every ring one of a kind. The end result is a light, marble-like appearance that will last for ages.
USS NORTH CAROLINA TEAK
When the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor on December 7th, 1941, they knew they had "awoken a sleeping giant," but they had no idea just how prepared this giant was for war. The USS North Carolina (BB-55) was built in 1940 and commissioned for service in April of 1941. She was the newest and fastest battleship which the US had ever created and would go on to lead every major naval offensive in WWII, earning 15 battle stars. Her wartime complement included 144 officers and 2,195 enlisted men of the finest generation America has ever known.
After her decommissioning in June of 1947 and subsequent restoration project years later, the Teak wood of her original decks were made available to the public in limited supply. We are very excited to offer a limited collection of rings from this story filled wood.
ROSE GOLD
It may be that gold will always be a classy look. We use solid rose gold for our inlays. The soft color of the rose gold perfectly balances the transition from elk to teak and adds a touch of class to the ring that gives you both the Rustic and the Main street look.
